I have had limited opportunities to get out with my camera this month. This photo of the war memorial in front of York Minster was taken at the very end of last year, but had been sitting unedited until today. I do intend to largely stick to my original plan of only uploading new photos, but some older ones may creep in from time to time.

West Burton Waterfall in flood. The snow has melted fast, with the result that the falls are a pretty impressive sight - and sound! To be honest, I prefer them on a peaceful spring day when the sun is shining...

The River Nidd at Knaresborough. This is a scene I have photographed many times, although never with snow; this was also the first time that I had seen the river frozen over.

I scattered some grated cheese for the birds, and these starlings were the first to help themselves. We still have a covering of snow and the temperature is below freezing so a high fat diet is important for them.
